Reinventing Success works with women to empower and support them to make positive change. This includes enabling them to recognise their strengths, and build their confidence. It was set up in response to the increasing demand for knowledge and practical solutions designed to improve well being, engagement and resilience.
Many women are very skilled but have lost confidence in themselves. This may be due to unemployment, lack of volunteering opportunities, education that is not recognised in this country and fear of failure. This is often a case for recent migrants and asylum seekers. Many skilled women are not clear on how systems work, how to set up a business or get into education. Many women have told us that they have applied for jobs without much success. They would like to explore different ways of earning a income but don’t know where to start.
Women in communities are now looking for training and support to improve their knowledge about issues that affect their lives. Issues such as poor mental health, low well - being, worklessness, domestic violence, debt, trauma and barriers to engagement are key factors that impact on daily life. Reinventing Success develop and deliver bespoke training and courses to meet workplace and community needs.
Many women continue to be disadvantaged. This may be due to gender, race, social status, lack of employment and harmful practices. Reinventing Success looks for ways to constructively challenging discrimination. By supporting women to make informed choices, they can be instrumental in bringing about social change that transforms lives.
Reinventing Success does this by running services where women can access training, mentoring and safe spaces. This allows them to voice their issues and build confidence. We also work with individuals, organisations and communities, who provide services to those who are disadvantaged.
Together, we will initiate change and work to find solutions to problems. In recent times when cuts to the voluntary sector have been huge, many projects have lost their funding with some closing down altogether. We aim to open doors and create opportunities for education, employment and the acquisition of business skills. This will reduce isolation, improve mental wellbeing, and instill hope.
Our trainers all have a background in health promotion and delivering courses on a range of health related topics. Between us, we have many years experience working within health, education and the voluntary sectors. .
