Manchester Voices of Faith Project

Working towards a generation free of HIV

HIV awareness training for faith and community leaders working with African communities

Manchester Voices of Faith Project's (MVFP) goal is to advance HIV prevention efforts in the migrant African communities that are hardest-hit by the HIV epidemic. The project targets hard to engage groups of Christians and Muslims of African origin, above 18 years of age, who live in Manchester. Faith leaders can play a pivotal role in delivering HIV prevention interventions to these communities. This is because they are highly trusted by African immigrants. We will facilitate faith and community leader's understanding of HIV and the development action plans that based on the needs of their communities. The project will start in January 2017 and will run for ten months.
